Aubyn Hill Elected President

Experienced negotiator, banker and businessman Aubyn Hill, was elected president of Tennis Jamaica last Thursday August 19, 2010 at an extra-ordinary general meeting called to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of housing developer, Phillip Gore, who served as president for five years.

Also elected on Thursday was Leroy Brown, well-known sports administrator and Industrial Relations consultant, as the new Hon. Secretary, in place of Mrs. Christine Gore, who had also resigned.

Harris doubles up at All Ja Junior Tennis Champs

DANIEL Harris and Sicquena Sinclair claimed the top titles as the PanCaribbeanBank All Jamaica Junior Tennis Championships wrapped up at the Eric Bell Centre at Piccadilly Road yesterday.

Third-seed Daniel defeated Jordan Harris 6-4, 6-0, while Sinclair, also seeded at three, beat unranked Nia Rose 6-2, 6-2 to take the boys and girls 18 Singles titles, respectively.
